INNOspace Masters promotes ideas for the transfer of technology and know-how from other industries to the space sector or from the space sector to non-space sectors.
For the eighth time, INNOspace Masters is looking for innovative transfer ideas between the space sector and other industries. INNOspace Masters promotes ideas for the transfer of technology and know-how from other industries to the space sector (spin-ins/new space) or from the space sector to non-space sectors (spin-offs).
From February 15, 2024 to April 23, 2024, companies will have the opportunity to submit innovative project ideas to INNOspace Masters under the umbrella theme Space up your Life – Innovations for a smarter Earth and Space. Under this overarching theme, the competition offers five different challenges for participation. Each challenge covers a broad range of topics and focuses on a different level of technological maturity – from applied research to market-ready solutions.
- Challenge 1: German Space Agency at DLR – “Applied Research for Disruptive Innovation”
- Challenge 2: ESA Business Incubation Centers – “Join the New Space Economy”
- Challenge 3: ESA Business Applications – “Space for every Industry”
- Challenge 4: Airbus – “Boosting Commercialization for a Green Space”
- Challenge 5: OHB – “Shape Space for a better Future”
The total prize money, including research funds, for the five challenges amounts to over EUR 2.3 million.
INNOspace Masters is an international innovation competition organized by the German Space Agency at DLR in cooperation with ESA Business Applications, the ESA Business Incubation Centres in Germany, Airbus and OHB.
