From now on, small and medium-sized enterprises, among others, can also apply for a subsidy in the state program “Hardship Assistance SME Energy” for non-conducted energy sources.
The energy crisis triggered by the war in Ukraine is presenting companies in North Rhine-Westphalia with enormous challenges in view of increased energy prices.
With the hardship assistance scheme KMU Energie “Härtefall 2022 nicht-leitungsgebundene Energieträger”, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is supporting, in particular, energy-intensive small and medium-sized enterprises whose prices for non-pipeline energy sources have more than doubled in 2022. NRW.BANK – as the state’s development bank – is responsible for approving the applications. Application and approval are handled digitally via NRW.BANK’s customer portal.
In addition, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia is setting up a hardship commission with the involvement of the chambers of industry and commerce, the chambers of skilled trades and the association of liberal professions to determine special hardships in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Information on financial support for the energy sources electricity, grid-bound natural gas and heat can be found at the hardship assistance SME energy
