Silke Krebs, State Secretary in the NRW Ministry of Economic Affairs, presented cluster spokesperson Wolf D. Meier-Scheuven with the funding notification for ProduktionNRW for the funding phase 2023 to 2025.
On the occasion of the steering committee meeting of the ProduktionNRW cluster on October 10, 2023, at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy, State Secretary Silke Krebs presented the grant notification from the Düsseldorf district government for the funding of the ProduktionNRW cluster to the cluster spokesperson Wolf D. Meier-Scheuven.
The ProduktionNRW cluster, Transformation of Industry – Mechanical Engineering NRW as Enabler, is a project of the VDMA NRW in cooperation with the NRW Ministry of Economics. The state of NRW is funding the activities of the cluster with 50 percent in the implementation period 01 January 2023 to 31 December 2025.
The aim of the cluster is to increase the transformation, innovative strength, performance and resilience of mechanical engineering in North Rhine-Westphalia. In doing so, the cluster focuses on two guiding themes. On the one hand, the transformation to a climate-neutral, energy- and resource-efficient economy. On the other hand, crisis management and the further development of the industry.
Range of services
The ProduktionNRW cluster supports medium-sized mechanical engineering companies in particular with a wide range of information and networks the companies with each other and along the value chain. Specifically, numerous information and experience exchange events on current topics are offered and the companies receive monthly figures on incoming orders as well as the latest newsletter. The presentation of the companies at trade fairs is supported in particular by joint trade fair stands. The cluster participates in relevant state initiatives, such as the industrial pact, the circular value creation working group.
ProduktionNRW works closely with the regional networks of mechanical engineering in NRW.
