The Start-up Transfer.NRW funding competition supports people from science and research who are interested in setting up a company.
Knowledge-based, innovative companies create sustainable jobs and training positions, contribute to structural change through the transfer of know-how from research to practice and thus sustainably improve the competitiveness of North Rhine-Westphalia. Innovative start-ups are of particular importance in this context.
The “Start-up Transfer.NRW” funding competition supports founders from research and educational institutions in developing their innovative ideas to market maturity. Overall, the funding measure is aimed at projects in the start-up phase that are based on technological or social innovations. Up to 270,000 euros per project will be made available from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia over a maximum period of 24 months.
The “Start-up Transfer.NRW” funding call is implemented by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MWIKE) as part of European regional funding (ERDF/JTF Program NRW 2021-2027). The EU from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia are providing a total of 40 million euros for this purpose until 2027.
University graduates and scientists from research and educational institutions who want to set up a company can submit project applications for the “Start-up Transfer.NRW” funding measure until July 31, 2023.
The funding measure “Start-up Transfer.NRW” is implemented within the framework of the ERDF/JTF program NRW 2021-2027 by the Innovation Promotion Agency, which is located at Project Management Jülich.
