QM-Corner NRW, that means one topic, one hour, online – the compact exchange among experts from the industry, this time on the topic “Sustainability meets Quality Management”.
On July 12, 2023, the topic “Sustainability meets quality management” struck a chord with the participants. In many companies, the requirements from the topic area of sustainability are located in the existing structures of quality management or this is strongly involved. Experience in dealing with management systems certainly plays an important role here, along with resources.
The VDMA – ESG survey from 2022, presented by Dr. Frank Bünting, speaker, VDMA Business Advisory, met with much approval in the circle of participants with its results and led to lively discussions and examples. In particular, many participants were concerned with questions regarding data sources and quality as well as software tools for this purpose. The obligation to report on sustainability will soon only affect larger companies, but all companies will be confronted with it in the course of the supply chains.
This concern is to be deepened in the follow-up event on August 16, 2023, because one question is on everyone’s mind: how to get started, how to begin?
