Sustainably developing innovative strength in the company. The Web-Erfa explored the question of which decisive factors contribute to promoting employees’ ability to innovate.
The type of innovation culture in a company is decisive for the innovative ability of its employees. But how can structures be established that promote innovation and empower employees to drive new developments forward? Anna Wolf and Elisa Messerschmidt from the consulting firm migosens GmbH showed in the online event what the drivers for an innovative company are.
Elisa Messerschmidt, who has over ten years of experience in change projects, provided valuable insights from other industries and companies and presented practical solutions. One of the key points she explained: Knowledge alone no longer provides an advantage in today’s working world. Instead, data, knowledge and experience must be used, sampled and incorporated creatively. This requires a strategic approach, time and space as well as trust in the skills of employees. The framework conditions for this include Innovation-friendly structures, involvement of science, setting up diverse development teams.
Ultimately, an innovative company is characterized by the following five points, according to the conclusion: customer orientation, disruptive innovation, strategic orientation, cooperation and networking, leadership and inspiration.
The work in small groups and the lively final discussion showed that the event was able to provide the participants with valuable food for thought in order to find innovative solutions and thus enable long-term corporate success.
