On April 10, 2025, ClusterAllianz.NRW – to which ProduktionNRW also belongs – presented the future paper “Cluster.Zukunft.NRW” in an exchange with Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The strategic impulse paper outlines how a future-oriented and uniform cluster policy can increase the innovative strength and competitiveness of North Rhine-Westphalia and at the same time drive forward solutions for decarbonization, digitalization and other transformation processes.

“Especially in turbulent times, we need strong networks and clear perspectives. The ClusterAllianz.NRW future paper shows how important it is for us to work together across industry boundaries in order to get new ideas and technologies from North Rhine-Westphalia off the ground. When we pool the knowledge of the various clusters, we create real opportunities – especially for small and medium-sized enterprises, which often do not have the capacity to drive innovation forward on their own. Together, we can further develop NRW as a strong, sustainable business location.” This was emphasized by Minister Mona Neubaur during the handover of the Cluster.Allianz.NRW future paper to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Future impulses for NRW

The paper emphasizes the importance of cluster organizations as key players for innovative strength and competitiveness. It shows how clusters can contribute to innovative solutions through targeted services, networking formats and transfer offers. From technology transfer and funding advice to international networking – the clusters make decisive contributions to securing the location.

Drivers of transformation

Whether it’s the circular economy, green technologies, key digital technologies or resilient value chains – clusters play a key role in transformation. They also play an important role in securing skilled workers through strategic educational cooperation and access to international talent.

Joint commitment for NRW

The commitment of ClusterAllianz.NRW and the exchange between them marks an important step towards closer cooperation between the cluster players and the state government.

ClusterAllianz.NRW as a mouthpiece

ClusterAllianz.NRW was founded in 2024 to intensify the exchange between cluster organizations and networks active throughout the state. The aim is to pool knowledge and experience and to form a holistic perspective for dialog with the state government and other stakeholders.
