Accelerator program for technology startups

Innovative high-tech ideas can change the world and make an important contribution to solving global challenges such as the climate crisis. With the customized HIGH-TECH.NRW accelerator program, the state government is providing targeted support for technology start-ups: the program, which is funded by the state with 1.6 million euros, networks innovative founders with universities, industry, companies and investors and, as a venture platform, builds bridges for a climate-friendly and competitive economy.

In the twelve-week program, startups can network with mentors, industry partners, pilot customers and investors. Founding teams are supported in positioning and financing their hardware-based business models. The first cohort of up to ten founding teams will start on September 12, 2022, and the best three teams will be awarded a total of 20,000 euros in prize money by the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy at a Demo Day.

The program is aimed at spin-offs from NRW universities and research institutes as well as start-ups from the private sector. Through access to network, capital and expertise, the Accelerator helps the participating teams to master the special challenges in the early company phase. In addition to the first commercial applications of the technologies, the focus is on financing as well as positioning and visibility – also on the international stage.

Applications for the first call are still possible until August 31 via https://high-tech.nrw/accelerator.
