The Umweltwirtschaftspreis.NRW 2026 honors companies from North Rhine-Westphalia that combine environmental responsibility and economic success. Prizes are awarded for innovative solutions for climate, environmental and resource protection.
Under the motto “Good for the economy, better for the environment”, companies (SMEs) headquartered in North Rhine-Westphalia are sought that combine ecological responsibility and economic success with climate-, environment- and resource-friendly products, services or processes.
Companies in the environmental economy are making a key contribution to the transformation of North Rhine-Westphalia into Europe’s first climate-neutral industrial region. In order to honor this commitment to climate, environmental and resource protection as well as the achievements for a sustainable economy, the Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and NRW.BANK will award the Environmental Economy Prize.NRW, endowed with 60,000 euros, for the fourth time in 2026.
