NRW stand at the Hannover Messe!

The joint stand of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hall 7/Stand A28) offers around 25 North Rhine-Westphalian companies, institutes and regional networks the perfect setting to present their innovations, application examples and technologies for shaping the future.

Under the strong umbrella of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, this year’s exhibitors will present themselves at the joint stand of the leading trade fair for factory automation. Companies, research institutes and universities will be presenting initiatives, projects and best practices.

Mechanical and plant engineering in NRW

With almost 200,000 employees in more than 1,600 companies, mechanical engineering is the largest industrial employer in North Rhine-Westphalia. Its turnover in 2023 was around 54 billion euros. North Rhine-Westphalia is home to large, world-class industrial companies as well as dozens of smaller “hidden champions” that are leaders in their fields of business.

Mechanical and plant engineering is both a driving force and an enabler for many other branches of industry. It enables the transformation towards a climate-neutral, energy- and resource-efficient economy, both in relation to its own sector and to industry as a whole.
