NRW is looking for committed companies that meet challenges such as digitalization or globalization with new solutions and actively shape the economic transformation process in NRW.
The “NRW Economy in Transition” competition was launched on May 22, 2024 to once again demonstrate the innovative strength of North Rhine-Westphalia. The prize is awarded to companies that are facing up to the ongoing structural change in North Rhine-Westphalia with creative corporate strategies, the use of new technologies or the dynamic adaptation of production conditions.
The prize is awarded in three categories: Corporations and SMEs, Crafts and Small Businesses and Start-ups. In addition, the special “NRW-Wandler:in” prize will once again be awarded to an outstanding personality from North Rhine-Westphalia who has distinguished themselves through special entrepreneurial achievements.
The competition is organized by the location initiative Germany – Land of Ideas together with the Rheinische Post and the General-Anzeiger Bonn under the patronage of the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Economic Affairs. Partners of the competition are Deutsche Bank, the auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the personnel consultancy Egon Zehnder, Zurich Insurance and the energy group RWE.
Application deadline
Companies can apply in the following categories until the application deadline on July 1, 2024:
- Category: Start-up (newly founded companies)
- Category: Craft and small and medium-sized enterprises (craft, small and medium-sized enterprises with less than 500 employees)
- Category: Medium-sized companies and groups (medium-sized companies and groups with more than 500 employees)
