Magazine “Innovationen made in NRW” shows how businesses can successfully navigate the path to digitalisation.
Digitalisation has arrived in the engineering and plant construction industry and has become the leading future-oriented topic. Many smart ideas have become reality in day-to-day production.
ProduktionNRW, the cluster for mechanical engineering and production technology, has gathered some highly promising examples in its innovation magazine “Innovationen made in NRW. Drawing from selected best practices from North Rhine-Westphalia, the magazine shows how innovations can succeed in the field of Industrie 4.0 in its first edition.
Examples come from “hidden champions” – world leaders in highly specialised niche markets – and prestigious brands and global players that are at home in all regions of the world.
Approaches to handle future-oriented topics
The ProduktionNRW innovation magazine appears quarterly and illustrates important topics of current interest for the industry. Authors from prominent companies discuss their business approaches and illustrate different viewpoints and areas of particular interest. “With this magazine, we not only want to create some stimuli but also show that the industry is on the move and is turning trends into innovations,” explains Hans-Jürgen Alt, Cluster Manager ProduktionNRW. “Businesses in the mechanical engineering industry have a wealth of potential. As a cluster, we can help to make this visible and point out possible approaches to important future-oriented topics.”
The forthcoming editions will be dedicated to the subjects of lightweight design and additive manufacturing, and will appear in mid-June and mid-October 2018.
