The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia is awarding the NRW Innovation Prize for the year 2025.
Every year, the NRW Innovation Award recognizes individuals who are helping to drive forward the transformation of North Rhine-Westphalia in the various phases of the innovation chain – from testing an outstanding idea to commercial application and scaling up. The prize is awarded in the four categories “innovation”, “innovation2business”, “innovation2market” and “innovation4transformation”. The prize is endowed with a total of 135,000 euros.
The application phase for the Innovation Award 2025 ends on February 24, 2025.
In 2024, the prize in the “innovation2business” category went to Marcel Biebl from Gas- und Wärme-Institut Essen e. V. and Jens te Kaat from VDMA member Kueppers Solutions GmbH, based in Dortmund, for the development of an energy-saving burner.
