NRW.Global Business GmbH – Trade & Investment Agency invites you to the H2 Latin America Summit, which will take place from 8 to 10 October in Fortaleza (Brazil).
The event focuses on business opportunities in the field of hydrogen and derivatives. It offers an excellent opportunity to get to know the Latin American – and especially the Brazilian – market and to establish contacts with stakeholders such as companies, banks, governments and other German and European institutions.

The summit consists of three parts: a congress, a business roundtable and B2B talks, and a trade fair. The summit and trade fair will take place over a period of two days.

On the third day, there will be a visit to the port of Pecém. The Pecém complex and hydrogen hub in Ceará is a significant initiative and one of the most advanced hydrogen and PtX hubs in Latin America. It aims to promote sustainable energy and industrial development in the region. The Pecém complex is a large industrial area in Ceará, Brazil, known for its strategic location, port facilities and diverse industrial activities. It offers various industries cost-effective energy as well as infrastructure and logistics support. The Pecém Hydrogen Hub is an innovative complex focused on developing a regional centre for hydrogen production, research and international marketing. The Port of Rotterdam is a partner in Pecém. Since last year, the Port of Rotterdam, the Port of Duisburg and the Port of Pecém have been working together on a green corridor for hydrogen and PtX.

The FMB in Bad Salzuflen is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The trade fair organisers have come up with some new formats for the FMB anniversary – for example, the Connector PARK. In this themed pavilion, component and system manufacturers will present their innovations for the transmission of energy, data and signals in machines and systems: plugs, connectors, cables. Other themed pavilions at the trade fair will showcase a concentrated range of products from manufacturers and suppliers of industrial software: this is the Digital HUB. The focus on special machine manufacturers, who will be presenting themselves in the SoMa CLUB, is already well established. Also new at the 20th FMB are additional formats in the supporting programme. In addition to the classic lecture sessions on four trend topics in mechanical engineering, there will be an “Innovation Stage” with panel discussions, power pitches and workshops for the first time.
The 20th FMB – Trade Fair for Mechanical Engineering will take place at the Bad Salzuflen Exhibition Centre.

The industrial health economy (iGW) is a key industry for the future of Germany and Europe. It combines medical progress with economic dynamism and brings together high-tech sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical technology, biotechnology and health IT. In order for the iGW to reach its full potential, it needs smart political framework conditions, strategic partnerships and targeted innovation funding. We want to discuss this with experts. Because the iGW is much more than just an industry: it is a driver of innovation and a bridge builder to other regions of the world – and thus one of our industries of the future.

The Institute for Social and Economic Policy Education cordially invites you to participate in the policy webinar on 5 November 2025, led by Ms Iris Plöger, member of the Executive Board of the Federation of German Industries (BDI).

Participation in our ISWA webinars is free of charge. The costs are covered by the non-profit association ISWA as part of its educational mission.

Industrial automation is on the threshold of a new era in which advances in artificial intelligence, smart sensor technology and data-driven systems are opening up completely new possibilities – for greater efficiency, flexibility and quality in special machine construction. A key element here is modular hardware. Control systems, I/O modules and sensor technology are designed to be flexible and scalable. This modularity allows automation solutions to be tailored precisely to the requirements of the respective application. New modules – for example, for special sensors or AI accelerators – can be easily added without changing the overall system.
