Turkey’s economic development has shown impressive growth rates in recent years. Despite various challenges, Germany remains the leading trading partner and the largest buyer of Turkish export goods worldwide. A closer look at Turkey reveals high quality standards and low procurement costs. The country also has a well-developed infrastructure, which goes hand in hand with short supply chains. For this reason, NRW.Global Business is planning a business trip to Istanbul together with partners with the aim of exploring the economic potential for North Rhine-Westphalian companies and focusing in particular on the topics of “nearshoring” and “Industrie 4.0”. Companies will have the opportunity to make contacts, meet potential business partners and exchange information on the latest developments in their respective sectors. There will also be a visit to the WIN EURASIA trade fair. The trip will focus on the mechanical engineering, metal and plastics processing and textile sectors. Topics relating to Industry 4.0 and digitalization are also key elements of this trip.

The international conference “BEARING WORLD” has established itself as the leading platform for the exchange of knowledge and innovations in the field of rolling and plain bearings. Be there too: network with international guests, become an exhibitor at the accompanying trade exhibition or take part in the specialist presentations. VDMA, FVA and FVV members receive an exclusive discount on the regular participation fee.

The focus of the business trip is on the automotive, component manufacturing, supply chain, e-mobility, logistics and automation and digitalization of goods flows. The trip, organized by NRW.Global Business GmbH, is aimed at employees of NRW companies from the areas of management, area sales, sales, production, business development or innovation management. Market potential and industry trends will be explored and the general conditions and market entry in the south-east of the USA and Mexico will be discussed. In addition, they will discuss how production and business conditions can be structured in concrete terms and which subsidies are available at federal, state and municipal level. The trip will include company visits and discussions with local German and American/Mexican companies on topics and questions raised by the participants, such as recruiting skilled workers, certification issues, market strategies and sales. A virtual preparation event will be offered to all participants in the run-up to the trip.
