More than 130,000 visitors from 150 countries were impressed by the innovative strength of North Rhine-Westphalia – the strongest federal state with around 250 exhibitors at the Hannover Messe.
Under the motto “Energizing a Sustainable Industry”, Hannover Messe 2024 focused on intelligent and climate-neutral production, artificial intelligence, hydrogen and cross-sector energy solutions. With around 250 exhibitors, NRW was once again the strongest federal state represented.
The NRW joint stand focused on the topics of digitalization, artificial intelligence and green energy. For example, the THEAsmart2 research project demonstrated ways in which fossil fuels can be saved by using waste heat more efficiently. Companies such as @-yet Industrial IT Security GmbH, a provider of cyber security solutions for industrial companies, and aiXbrain GmbH, which specializes in industrial artificial intelligence, also attracted particular interest.
Among the highlights at the NRW joint stand were the visits by Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy and Deputy Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the Romanian Ambassador Leena Liukkonen. ProduktionNRW, the cluster for mechanical engineering and production technology in NRW, gave the minister a tour of the stand and discussed cooperation opportunities with the ambassador. In addition, ProduktionNRW welcomed numerous visitors and international delegations from Egypt, China, the Netherlands and Japan to the joint stand in order to bring them into contact with various NRW companies.
The broad participation of mechanical engineering and production technology from North Rhine-Westphalia at Hannover Messe 2024 underlines the region’s innovative power and locational strength: North Rhine-Westphalia remains the innovative and industrial heart of Europe.
