For the second time, the Ministry of the Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Consumer Protection and NRW.BANK are jointly awarding the Environmental Business Award.NRW.
North Rhine-Westphalia is Germany’s largest provider of products and services in the environmental economy. The goal of the state government’s environmental economic strategy is to further expand this lead and to support companies, research and educational institutions in tapping the diverse potential of the environmental economy for themselves and for North Rhine-Westphalia.
For the second time, the Ministry of the Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Consumer Protection and NRW.BANK are jointly offering the Environmental Economy Award.NRW. Companies from the eight submarkets of the environmental economy with innovative products and services in the fields of resource conservation, climate protection and environmental protection can apply until April 10, 2022. With the award, the North Rhine-Westphalian Environment Ministry and the development bank support showcase companies in North Rhine-Westphalia that combine economy and ecology in a special way. Prize money totaling 60,000 euros awaits the winners.
The competition is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises with maximum annual sales of 500 million euros that combine successful entrepreneurial activity with resource conservation, climate protection and environmental protection. Entrepreneurs based in North Rhine-Westphalia who have already successfully established their innovative product ideas or services on the market are being sought.
Applications are open from now until April 10, 2022 at www.umweltwirtschaftspreis.nrw. An independent jury of experts will select three winners. The award ceremony is scheduled for November 2022.
