New formats, exciting trends and satisfied exhibitors: the 20th FMB in Bad Salzuflen shows how a trade fair can set the tone even in challenging times.
The FMB – Trade Fair for Mechanical Engineering celebrated its 20th edition with a clear success. 4,616 visitors and 367 exhibitors ensured full halls and intensive discussions – a stable result that is anything but a matter of course in the current economic situation. Many exhibitors praised the quality of the contacts and the practical discussions.
The trade fair presented new highlights for its anniversary:
– Connector PARK: Everything to do with connectors, connection systems and complete solutions for energy, data and signal transmission.
– Digital HUB: Meeting point for industrial software and digitalization solutions.
– Innovation Stage: Stage for fresh ideas – from start-ups to expert presentations. A top topic: Single Pair Ethernet (SPE), a future standard that companies from OWL are driving forward.
Other program items such as the SoMa CLUB for special machine manufacturers, the stand of the leading-edge cluster it’s OWL and the popular guided tours of the industry association owl maschinenbau e.V. rounded off the offer.
Outlook: The next FMB will take place in Bad Salzuflen from November 3 to 5, 2026 – with a new look and an enhanced concept. Goal: To further strengthen its position as a compact, practice-oriented trade fair for mechanical engineering.
