Networking for progress: The Community connects businesses and universities to strengthen knowledge and technology transfer in North Rhine-Westphalia. Representatives from industry, academia, and politics will discuss how expertise can be effectively leveraged to drive innovation.
The European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) has been adopted and will significantly change the rules for almost all industries. Starting 12 August 2026, binding requirements for sustainable and circular packaging in both B2B and B2C sectors will apply.
This free online event will focus on: key innovations of the PPWR, deadlines and transitional provisions, practical implications for businesses, implementation options in practice.

The NRW state government supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in adopting resource-efficient processes and transitioning to a circular economy. More than €8 million is available under the EFRE/JTF program. Applications can be submitted until June 30, 2026.
